Dr. Witta believes that patients with cancer should be able to receive the most advanced treatments in a very comfortable settings and with very personalized care that is respectful of their and their families’ needs and wishes, and brings either a cure or an improvement in quality of life.

With doctorates in both Genetics and Medicine, Dr. Witta offers the patients in his care a dual advantage as they fight cancer. He has collaborated with physicians, specialists locally and at the nation’s leading institutions in his 20-plus years of practice, working to develop tumor-specific treatments for better outcomes and fewer side effects.

Dr. Witta earned his PhD in Genetics from the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, his MD from Charles University, the oldest University in Central Europe and received his fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Colorado. He is board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine, and continues to publish in leading medical journals.

Samir E. Travathan, MD

Dr. Trevarthen has been practicing Medical Oncology, and Hematology in the Denver area for over 30 years. With his many years of practice, he has extensive experience in treating all types of cancer. He does have particular interest in treating lung cancer, complex GI cancers, such as pancreatic cancer, head and neck cancer, and melanoma. He has been instrumental in developing centers of excellence for these cancers at Swedish Hospital.

Dr. Trevarthen also is passionate about cancer research, and is a principal investigator on many clinical trials for cancer. He has published scholarly papers on some of the clinical trials he has been involved with.

In his free time,when not working with cancer patients , other personal passions, include performing music, boating, and fly fishing.

Molly Burns is an outdoor enthusiast and relationship driven Physician Assistant. She was born and raised in a small farm town outside of West Chester, PA. For her undergraduate education she attended the University of Colorado Boulder where fell in love with the Rocky Mountains. She completed her Physician Assistant degree at Pacific University near Portland, OR. 


She is overjoyed to call Colorado home and to be a member of the Mountain Blue team. She is a fully licensed Physician Assistant and authorized by the DEA to prescribe all medications. Molly looks forward to building strong foundations, advocating for patients, and has a caring approach to medicine. 


Outside of medicine Molly finds joy in travel, yoga, powder days on the ski slopes and spending time with loved ones.
